My children’s picture book services are a whole package deal. We will journey through poem scansion (if applicable), structural editing, developmental editing, page turn analysis, copyediting and finalize with a proofread. I provide multiple editing passes and discussions via zoom or email. I enjoy working with both prose and rhyming books.

I will perfect your meter (rhyming books), polish your story flow, streamline your word count and strengthen your character focus. I will advise on engagement and readability. The edit will include checking sentence structure, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. 

This service can look different for each client. 

If you are just starting, I can provide you with a template so you can have a working table of contents and index. 

If you've already gathered your recipes, I can input them in a consistent style and format. 

If you've already completed your cookbook, I can come in to double check that all ingredients are mentioned in the instructions, confirm the units are accurate and consistent throughout, fix any grammar issues or capitalization inconsistencies, and make sure each recipe looks readable and professional.

This service combines line editing and a light proofread taking your manuscript to the next level. 

I will go through your document carefully, line-by-line, looking for ways to improve grammar, punctuation, spelling, and usage. 

I will make sure each paragraph flows into the next with strong sentence structure and variability that pleases the reader. 

I'll eliminate repetition and improve style.

You'll receive a file with all changes tracked for you to accept or reject.

After your written work has been edited, I will go through it to ensure nothing was missed.

I will fix any spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and inconsistencies. 

I will ensure the layout looks cohesive with no odd page breaks and repetitive phrasing.
